About Mia
Mia’s greatest passion is helping people reach their potential. With an HR career spanning over 28 years, specialising in developing high potential people, engagement, inclusion & diversity and managing change, she considers herself fortunate to have worked with highly talented people, who have challenged and enriched her career.
Mia welcomes a diverse range of clients, from executive leadership to career entry positions, small business owners and those returning to, or leaving the workplace. She has developed coaching programmes to support people to reach personal and professional goals, whilst balancing their personal values and most importantly, by being themselves
Mia qualified as a Coach at Henley Business School, she has an MBA from the Open University and holds Chartered Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (MCIPD). She is certified in the Hogan Leadership Assessment series.
Brand Story (My Why)
My Grandmother was the only person who believed in me in the exact moment I needed it.
This kind of unwavering love and support changed my life. I missed the opportunity to reach my potential at school and on entering the workplace, immediately set my sights on correcting that. My Grandmother’s encouragement and belief in me throughout my working life, has motivated me to succeed ever since. Growing up, I spent a lot of time at her house which was called Penha-Longa, after the village in Portugal where she was born – this has been the inspiration behind my choosing the business name. Whenever I have reached a crossroads in my life, I think of my Grandmother. She helped me to focus, cut through the noise of self-doubt and succeed.
